The members of the Hewlett Fire Department are dedicated to providing professional-level service to the community. Our fire department is staffed by all volunteers and we are always looking for new members.
PLEASE NOTE:
1. There is no salary or other compensation for this position.
2. All applicants must be at least 18 years old (inquire about our Hewlett Junior Fire Department program age 12-17)
3. All applicants must be in good physical shape and be able to pass a department physical exam.
4. All applicants must pass a background check.
5. All applicants must be willing to maintain a percentage of total fire or rescue calls based on their assignment.
6. You must reside within 1.5 miles of the Hewlett Fire Department, 25 Franklin Ave, Hewlett, NY 11557.
